玛仕特：金丰溜冰城是一场复兴杀马特溜冰现场的活动。上海油罐艺术中心的展厅空间被改造为一个临时的滑冰场，现场重现了溜冰城的招牌，内部装饰，钢管舞台等，并由dj和vj播放着怀旧的杀马特风格音乐和影像。参与的观众可以在前台选择穿戴杀马特风格的假发和配饰，并租借溜冰鞋在现场轮滑，沉浸式的体验杀马特的生活方式。初次以外，现场还包括座谈会，影像放映和美发工作坊。
在2000年代城市边缘的“溜冰场”成为了城乡结合部小镇青年们活动的乐园，这种娱乐延续在工厂周边的“杀马特”群体中。位于东莞石排村的“金丰溜冰城”曾经风靡一时，是杀马特青年心目中圣地。但随着现在的城市发展和潮流的变化，旱冰娱乐活动慢慢的在消失，这座溜冰厂也在2020年彻底地关闭。
本片在短视频平台快手中搜索了与金丰溜冰城相关的视频并加以编辑整理，试图以视觉考古的方式，回顾和重组那段属于杀马特人群的记忆。
In the 2000s, the “roller skating clubs” on the city’s edge became a meeting place for youth from the urban-rural fringe. The entertainment continued in the 2010s among the community of the ‘smart’ workers. The “Jinfeng Roller Skating town” in Dongguan’s Shipai village was once the most popular place for youth to meet and have fun. But with the current urban development and revising trends, roller skating entertainment is slowly disappearing. The skating club was closed in 2020.
This video attempts to recapture and recreate the memories of the Smart group through a visual “oral history” and media archaeology.
Master: Jinfeng Roller Skating Club is a revival of the Smart skating scene. The gallery space at the Shanghai Tank Art Centre was transformed into a temporary roller skating ground with live recreations of the Roller Skating signage, interiors, pole stage, and more, with nostalgic Smart style music and imagery played by Dj’s and Vj’s. Participating visitors can wear Smart-style wigs and accessories at the front desk and rent skates shoes to skate around the venue for an immersive experience of the Smart lifestyle. Beyond the initial event, there was a panel discussion, video screenings, and hairdressing workshops running all day.
